Bioplastic Surgery for Labia Majora (Biocompatible Fillers in the Genital Area)
Over the years, the labia majora can lose some of their firmness due to either fatty tissue atrophy or skin laxity.
This results in a decrease in volume and associated sagging. The aesthetic correction of the labia majora in this situation involves increasing their volume. This can be done using biocompatible fillers such as Hyaluronic Acid or through fat grafting using the patient's own fat.
Advantages
- It is a quick and simple procedure.
- It is performed on an outpatient basis, in the doctor's office, under local anesthesia.
- It does not require incisions or sutures.
How long does it last?
The duration of the achieved effect varies depending on the filler used. Hyaluronic Acid is a substance that is absorbed by the body over time, with an approximate duration of 12 months. Autologous fat grafting, using the patient's own fat, has a shorter duration.
How is it performed?
- Hyaluronic Acid: It involves the injection of HA into the subcutaneous tissue of the area where we want to achieve greater volume. Typically, one injection every year or year and a half is sufficient.
- Genital Fat Grafting: Fat is extracted from the donor area through liposuction, using a cannula through small incisions. The extracted fat is then centrifuged and purified. The prepared fat is injected into the desired area.
Postoperative care:
- Local cold packs are recommended in the area.
- Sexual activity should be restricted for 3 weeks.
- Physical exercise should be avoided for 10 days.
